This unaged tequila is 40% ABV (80 proof), with a semi-dry taste and gives a smooth agave experience from start to finish. An unaged tequila made with 100% Weber blue agave. On The Nose Gran Patrón Burdeos uses high-quality Weber Blue agave, ageing it in oak barrels before finishing in French Bordeaux casks. On The Nose Don’t be fooled by the “gold” label on gold tequila. These are often referred to as a “Mixto,” where colors and flavors are added prior to bottling. These young tequilas are less expensive and typically used in bars and restaurants for making mixed drinks.
