GLOW My skin has a glow with this foundation, without looking too dewy in the t-zone, which I have found very rare with dewier finish foundations! It’s radiant in all the right areas, but still dries down and sets and feels like wearing nothing. Linda Cantello, Armani’s global makeup artist and advisor says that it’s like instant coffee! It is Luminous Silk dried and made into a powder, and it then reconstitutes itself when it’s applied to the skin. It’s quite incredible. Its lightweight and silky texture glides on seamlessly for an all-day, buildable coverage. Comes in 40 shades and suitable for all skin types.And that glow won’t oxidize either, which is one of my biggest makeup pet peeves. When foundations oxidize, their pigments react to the air and the skin’s natural oils, causing your face makeup to darken or turn orange like a bad spray tan — and it’s pretty common. Impressively enough, the color of the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in the bottle looks identical to the color of my first application — all the way until I remove it at night — leaving me with an oxidized-free glow all day. I do not love the fact that it is so pricey and also I would not recommend this product for people with very oily skin who do need to set their makeup with heavy duty powder since powder tends to take away the luminosity of this foundation away, which is the best part of the product. For the record, the L’Oreal True Match lumi foundation is supposed to be a drugstore dupe for this product. I have not used that foundation hence I cannot compare but I know tons of beauty bloggers who support this opinion. The formula adds a glow to foundation with its super fine particles of pearl. It looks a little like a bronzer in the pan but it is an all over powder and it gives a thin film that melts into the skin delivering a luminous glow. Thanks to its glowy finish, Armani Luminous Silk is ideal for dry, normal, and mature skin types — even oily skin like mine. Anyone with oily and acne-prone skin can also enjoy this iconic foundation with a little finessing. This latest addition to the Luminous Silk franchise is a great one, however, fans of the original powder will sad to discover that it is being discontinued. This will also replace the Neo-Nude powder. Armani Luminous Silk Glow Fusion Powder Swatches As I said at the top, I am not a powder girl, but I love this one. It doesn’t take any glow away from your makeup at all, but adds a beautiful radiance and really enhances the look of your foundation. Really and truly, the only downside I can see is that the foundation is pricey. But I absolutely feel like the quality of it’s the finish justifies the price. I only have the highest praise for this foundation. Depending on the shade you choose, you can use it as a highlighter, bronzer or finishing powder. Choose 2 or 3 shades lighter than your Luminous Silk Foundation to highlight and 2 or 3 shades darker to warm the complexion or define the features.
