The information regarding the splittability/crushability of the considered medicinal products was obtained by evaluating the summary of product characteristics (SmPC) of the drug (source: Italian Medicines Agency AIFA, Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco database) [ 7] and in particular by analyzing qualitative and quantitative composition, pharmaceutical form, posology, and method of administration.
