It is a great study tool for passionate people dedicated to learn and improve, especially with all the different workbooks available for people craving for more. is entirely in Japanese and you require a secondary english translation guide to navigate through it and learn lessons. Those workbooks that start from the very beginning and gradually go up are really helpful to train listening. I appreciate this article for explaining the differences and I have enjoyed my experience with MNN so far. Update: I revisited the CD from the main Minna textbook and it is a regular audio CD, so the 5 CD set must contain additional material. On the other hand, Genki features only one workbook per textbook and one Answer Key volume for both textbooks.the things you will encounter most on Internet, mangas…) while minna will focus on the polite first (the masu form where you can safely talk, use them to everyone).
