About this deal

We then switch over to Sayaka for a while and get a pleasant (and needed) interlude between her and the cafe owner, followed by a welcome side story showing how the latter and Yuu’s teacher started dating.

The other major aspect of this volume that I want to highlight is some very strong writing, both characters and dialogue. Bloom into You is a charming love story about two young women who together discover that their dreams of a heart-pounding romance can indeed come true. Sayaka and Miyako’s friendship is one of the best things about the series for me, just so much respect between them. The early chapters focus on Yuu and her emotional fall-out from being turned down by Touko, something she never saw coming. It's still an imperfect series in a lot of ways, but it is also a crucial series in the way Yuu and Maki provide media representation of aromantic/asexual people. For anyone that’s looking for a good romance comic that defies expectations and is relatively chaste, Bloom Into You is a good choice. Sayaka's arc wasn't just a loose thread to be tied though, it was meaningful character growth for both her and Nanami, and something I think was handled very well. Un po’ sottotono rispetto ai precedenti due ma penso sia normale visto che ci stiamo avvicinando alla conclusione (il numero 8 sarà l’ultimo). So why isn't she ready for Yuu's feelings now that she's sure Yuu really knows who she really is and loves her for real reasons?

This was a fucking emotional rollercoaster that was considerate enough to take breaks so I wouldn't die from the feels, but also punch me in the feels multiple times. You can feel how badly this hurts (for both parties) and how a really bad miscommunication spirals out of control (I often get annoyed by ‘if we talked this would clear the air’ but this one is plausible and sold well, especially since Yuu doesn’t know there’s anything left to actually say). I won't spoil the details of the confession, other than to say that Touko knew, for a long time, or at least highly suspected that Sayaka liked her. growth/change (0-5): 2 - Touko really shows how much she's changed since the play, actually showing vulnerability around her school mates. We end on, well, not a cliffhanger per se, but a flurry of activity and emotion that has me dying for the conclusion. Sayaka and Touko have their school trip where Sayaka takes her long awaited chance to tell Touko how she feels.

I think that what made this volume for me was the fact that our characters have taken almost a break from one another. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Some stories mirror those early “S” stories and use reference to purity as an indication that school is old-fashioned, like Maria Watches Over Us,” or are parodies of “S” like Strawberry Panic! She tries to say that love isn’t for her, but he says she’s not actually like him and she’s just running away because she doesn’t want to face the rejection. In the morning, when Hakozaki notices, Miyako says: "I didn't trust myself in the same bed with you. There is a historical reason why the religious ideal of purity exists in Yuri, and I wrote about it here: http://okazu. prose/writing (0-10): 8 - I think some of Touko and Sayaka's interactions and how Yuu is depicted a bit like a sulking, petulant, emotional wreck even within her tightly controlled unemotional self demonstrates some really fine writing of teen characters.

But when the next person to confess to Yuu is the alluring Nanami herself, has Yuu's shoujo romance finally begun? That final bit I want to highlight is we get some nice stuff with Hakozaki-sensei and her girlfriend, Miyako. And to be honest, I think that extra time processing both helped me to enjoy volume 7 more than I would have otherwise. Those rob the creators of the income they need to survive and reduce the chance of manga and anime being legitimately released in English. However, I do think it has more of an impact when not only do the characters have to work for it, but if they step away from each other to think about if this is what they actually want.
