About this deal

At the next bus stop stood a person wearing smart dark green trousers with sharp creases, a crisp white shirt and a blazer. Blog on, dear, blog on (and tell Chris I know what it’s like going deaf; I can only just hear The Piglets).

After that incident Mr Johnson became much more popular amongst the artistic community of Dawlish and I enjoyed many good deals on framing and art supplies. The titles 'Johnny Reggae' and 'Threesome' are the band's ticket to be part of the World’s Ska Circus. As far as I remember, it was represented on TOTPs by a series of comic book (with text bubbles etc) style dawings. To prevent old calendars showing on other sites or apps, replace the URL in your diary site or app with the URL shown - this URL changes when your calendar content changes, so your feed will always be up to date if you always manually replace the URL.

King himself has explained in comments on his YouTube channel [3] and in his autobiography 65 My Life So Far that the vocalists were session singers "coached to sound like teenage scrubbers", and that the lead vocalist was session singer Barbara Kay, who also recorded as Kay Barry for Embassy Records. The Piglets were a British female outfit, and one of the pseudonyms Jonathan King used in the 1970s to release some of his songs.

The lead vocals have been at various times been incorrectly attributed to Adrienne Posta or Wendy Richard. As an independent producer, he discovered and named Genesis in 1967, and produced their first album From Genesis to Revelation. And Chris and I sang “Johnny Reggae, Reggae, Reggae…” while we flew past a bus stop, and three old ladies and one man turned their heads and laughed as we passed by singing, “Lay it on me! After my horrible breakfast of whole-grain porridge (back to the Dukan diet now that all our visitors have gone home), Chris and I were cycling along to Cockwood Harbour when my husband suddenly announced that he had a confession to make, and it was something rather embarrassing. Their amazingly phenomenally successful ditty of "Johnny Reggae" has crashed the chart this week and seems set to be an instant No.

If you think that’s a peculiar title for my blog post today, well, it’s Chris’s fault… if there is any blame to be attached to the consequences of reading this particular entry. At the heart is Johnny Ska, who is not only singer and guitarist of the trio, but providing the good groove on his Rudie Drums. The Piglets are best remembered for " Johnny Reggae" (1971), released on Bell Records which reached No.Jonathan got the idea of the talking song from an old Shangri-La's record and thought as it had'nt been done for a while - not since Mike Sarne's "Come Outside" which sounds similar - it would be a good idea to try it again.

Would you believe that my Johnny Reggae blog post still get hits every day, even after all this time? While recording and mixing we had great support by Skankaroos frontman Niklas, who was on hand with help and advice.
