It takes a balance of suction, navigation, cleaning ability and functionality which can be difficult to achieve. It uses logic to in an attempt to designate the most efficient route to clean more of your residence.
The EufyHome app allows you to control the robot, start cleaning or send the robot to the dock, schedule, change suction and mopping mode (for the Hybrid+ model), and more. I vacuum the house from top to bottom with a manual vacuum once a week and it picks up more dirt than the robovac, but at least the robovac keeps on top of the mess. Back then — and even now — we often refer to all robot vacuums as "roombas" regardless of their make and model (comparable to the way that we tend to refer to tissues of all brands as "Kleenex" and all copy machines as "Xerox"). Some dust got blown away on hard floors due to the speed of the brushes, but it cleaned a room quickly – in 17 minutes 51 seconds – and its sensor system stopped it from getting stuck, even when it bumped into obstacles.And, while it is much better than those randomly cleaning robots, it isn’t quite as accurate as robots that map with lasers or cameras.
This is the robot vacuum's ability to navigate your home's floors and remember the pathways it takes to ensure it doesn't miss an inch of coverage.It isn’t perfect; it sometimes struggled to manoeuvre around furniture, while some pet hair caught in the brushes (although less than most), and on hard floors the powerful brushes moved dust away as well as drawing it in. As expected, the self-empty process is quite loud, almost like a plane taking off, but this is customary for such robots. I then got another assistant who suggested all the things I had already tried and said I had to film myself doing the set up process.
However, for cleaning prowess, it couldn’t be beaten; it scored full marks for its quick and efficient dust pick-up on all surfaces and for excellent pet hair removal. A more budget-friendly hybrid than the X8, the eufy G30 Hybrid offers the same great suction power via one turbine instead of two, and equally convenient mopping action to get your hard floors that much cleaner. We would be remiss if we didn't include the top-tier eufy RoboVac models with all the latest and greatest features, but we also made sure to include more budget-friendly models for those who don't need to splurge on every bell and whistle. For those who are savvy, the allergy care capability of the G40 Hybrid+ is certified by TUV Rheinland.
It does not have smart mapping, but it does take a calculated and efficient route around your floors — which is a step up from the "bounce" style of robovacs in the past, whose random, spotty coverage was more reminiscent of the classic video game "Pong. As an app, its not as feature rich as the more expensive models but it works as expected and I haven’t encountered a bug or a problem with it.Impressing with its pick-up on all tests, large crumbs, finer dirt and even pet hair posed no problems.
