About this deal

As you'll see in the image and original file above, there is a tiny bit of distortion and it's a little softer at the sides at f/1. Whether you are after sharp, yet narrow depth of field wide open, or tight corners and edges with the lens stopped down, this lens has you covered. It’s my favourite lens without doubt and it almost stays permantetly attached to my brand new Fujifilm X-T5. I'm referring to an all-metal construction of a lens and not plastic simply because a metal lens is more durable.

I tried the 35mm f2, and while it’s a high quality, very sharp and snappy lens, the light and transition to the bokeh feel a little too “perfect” (clinical? While showing some age by today’s standards in terms of autofocus and technical characteristics, the lens has some of the most unique characteristics of any modern lens to date. Fuji’s seemingly little-known lens-tuning strategy of centre-sharpness at wide apertures, and edge to edge sharpness at smaller ones is especially apparent with this lens.it is not an inexpensive option but it will likely last you a lifetime and once you start editing your files you will see what I mean. Fortunately, my colleague had this lens for me to try which I'm glad I did or I may have parted with my money only to be disappointed. lens is known for its exceptional optical quality, delivering sharpness, contrast, and excellent color rendition. This way you can judge for yourself if there is a big enough difference between the two lenses in terms of IQ for you to prefer one over the other.
