About this deal

Easily our best selling digital piano, the Yamaha P45 is an outstanding digital piano for the money. Offering you the responsive, authentic feel of an acoustic piano, the P45 compares in both sound and playability with many of the more expensive alternatives in the digital piano range. Predictably, the included Yamaha FC5 sustain footswitch works as it’s supposed to, but is somewhat flimsy and doesn’t look very nice. The P45 uses an improved AWM synthesis system to deliver stunningly realistic piano sounds. AWM works by using digital recordings of real instrumentsto create the sound of an acoustic grand, wherever you are. However if you want to change it up and perform in a different style the P45 also includes a number of other keyboard instruments for you to play, including Electric pianos, organ and harpsichord. Here is one more reason why we like this keyboard for beginners. There are 10 pre-set songs, along with 10 demos that you can use to play along with.

Yamaha P-125 : This piano is the advanced version of the P-45, including extra voices (24) and the ability to upgrade to a full piano pedalboard.Yamaha P-45 is an 88-key hammer action digital piano with built-in speakers. The piano inherited the compact and lightweight design of its predecessor – P35; they look completely identical. The P45 features 2 x 12 cm built-in speakers ( 6W + 6W amp). The sound is loud enough to practice in a relatively small room or to perform in front of a few people, but not more. Control panel of the P-45 is very simple and straightforward. There are only two buttons and a volume control.

Now, there is the P45B, which is the next incarnation of the P-35, with new features that may just make it even better than the popular P-35. The P 45B is smaller and even more portable than the P-35, and it has an upgraded, 64-note polyphony for awesome musical quality. It is the most affordable of the Yamaha P-series piano keyboards. You can fine tune the sound by changing the reverb setting, which you will need to have the user Manuel at hand.

You may wonder how it is possible to have 32, 64, or even 128 notes playing at the same time, if there are only 88 keys and we never play them all together. Weighing in at only 11.5kg, this compact piano is easily moved from place to place, whether that’s to piano lessons, jam sessions, or even gigs. The in-built speakers offer a rich sound on the go, while the headphone out makes it possible to practice in peace and quiet. The P-45 is a great option to consider for a college student living in a dorm room who needs a compact piano alternative at an affordable price.

The 88 piano keys of the Yamaha P45 are made with plastic, which is very common on entry level digital pianos. Currently only on high end models would you see some or all keys made with wood. Overall, the FP-10 from Roland is simply better in many ways and I would recommend it over the P45. It allows you to transmit MIDI data to external devices including computers, tablets (adapter is required), etc.Unlike some higher-end models, the keys on the P-45 don’t have moisture-absorbing keytops that replicate the feel of Ebony and Ivory. To connect the P45 to the computer you’d need to buy an additional A to B USB cable. But don’t worry, they’re pretty cheap.
