Blue Stratos | Three Pears Brands

Sergey Borisov, an esteemed perfume journalist and an essential member of the Fragrantica team since 2013, studied Physics at Krasnoyarsk University. Known as moon_fish in the online fragrance world, his expertise has been showcased in prestigious publications such as GQ, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan. A connoisseur of oud oils, vintage scents, and notes like leather, vetiver, neroli, and orris, Sergey continues to captivate readers with his in-depth articles. The EDT of Blue Stratos seems to be more rapidly faithful to the notes than the aftershave (which is foolishly offered in a spray rather than a splash). The aftershave has a sharper alcohol opening before anything starts to happen and I can imagine impatient people leaving it on the shelf after testing it. This review is for the EDT, though the two do have the same scent. All new bottles no longer have the sleek shiny cap, instead having a clumsy anodised matt cap.Parfums Bleu Blue Stratos Pre electric Shaving Lotion is great to use before your electric shave for a smoother, closer, more comfortable shave with the cool, exhilirating sensation. Classed as a classic scent which features as a landmark fougere fragrance in the industry 'bible' the H&R Genealogy of masculine fragrances. • Top notes: Citrus and Lavender. The citrus top notes are beautifully blended with the geranium, rose and lavender heart. The base of dark patchouli and cedarwood is equally well balanced with the softer vanilla, amber and musk. The latest news was that in 2020, the brand was acquired from the British cosmetics company Three Pears Brands, to Dutch Remark Groep, which produces Blue Stratos now. I was intrigued to try this, having never heard of it, after reading Luca Turin's review - 4 stars - "Classic Fougere." Blue Stratos - Basenotes Blue Stratos - Basenotes

Blue Stratos Original Pre-Electric Shaving Lotion helps aid a closer and more comfortable shave with your electric shaver with the cool exhilarating sensation of Blue Stratos. The base notes settle into woody vanilla, with faint citrus and florals still discernible. The scent is well-rounded and becomes mellow, quite refined and more masculine during the transition between middle and basenotes. Many children of the 70s and 80s will have an olfactory memory of Blue Stratos; either aftershave or talcum powder and if the scent has been reformulated at all, it hasn't changed all that much. Very old fashioned and very comforting as well. Great as a summer after shower splash. It is very close to the classic Pinot's Clubman in the sweetness and coolness of its overall scent. Customer car, engine, brake and other rectification work done by us, before we successfully put it through IVA test. Road registered by us before returning to a delighted customer. It is light and cool and sweet and bracing, definitely of its day (1976) and definitely of the Old Spice school, having originally been made by the same company, Shulton.|Now produced by Parfums Bleu in the UK. This popular fragrance was launched in 1975 by Shulton Inc., The creators of Old Spice.

Blue Stratos - Do You Remember? Blue Stratos - Do You Remember?

What a delightful trip into fragrance history..... Such different marketing from today, for sure.. Anything blue today is 99% certain to be an aquatic. Happily for me, that is not the case here! Today, in our Vintages section, we will talk about the very popular and inexpensive men's fragrance Blue Stratos, released by the American company Shulton in 1974. Of course, the most famous Shulton scent is Old Spice - we covered the cologne in this review of its female forerunner, in the article "Our Fathers' Colognes" and in the article "How Old Spice Has Always Remained New." Sillage - probably weaker than it should be. For you and people close to you to enjoy. Spray more if you want to project more. Now, having had the opportunity to smell that same vintage cologne again, I can clearly distinguish in it the brisk classic fougère top and heart; fresh lavender and resinous citruses. But now, besides the greenery, I can distinguish the sweet jasmine in the heart; this is where the animalic shade comes from - and it is continued with a warm honey-civet accord in the woody base. It manifests itself with patchouli and coumarin to turn into a dry cedar trail at the very end.

Not the most dressy casual scent, the refreshing and bouncy Blue Stratos is reminiscent of a well-worn blue jeans but still equally suitable for work and weekends. This is also reflected in some artifacts of history (see photo below). The brand started this image change by expanding the range of their men's fragrances in the 1960s, releasing five fragrances in 14 years - York Town 1781, Teak, Old Spice Lime, Old Spice Burley, Old Spice Musk For Men, and Eastern Spice. Judging by the fact that the fragrances were discontinued long ago and that in 1970 the company experienced the first sales drop in its history, none of these attempts was successful. In 1971, Shulton became part of American Cyanamide, and with new financial support, they launched a new fragrance in 1974, Blue Stratos. It's probably a daytime scent, though this is a matter of taste and what works for a person's skin. Someone's review referred to it as 'inoffensive' and it is. It's cheap (in price), but it certainly isn't nasty. And so I give it a thumbs up. Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand and apply evenly over the beard area before shaving.

Blue Stratos Pre Electric Shaving Lotion 100ml - Fragrances Blue Stratos Pre Electric Shaving Lotion 100ml - Fragrances

When I first encountered Blue Stratos in 1991, in a family bathroom during a visit, I knew nothing about it and had seen no adverts. I just opened the blue bottle to smell it - and the first thing that came to my mind was a soft and watered-down Kouros Yves Saint-Laurent. Now I understand better why - the shared citruses, patchouli, and fougère skeleton and a clear animalistic touch do give the fragrances some similarity. They both evoke the clean center of a house - the family bathroom. But Blue Stratos is much lighter and weaker - non-intrusive and at the same time very refreshing due to oranges and lavender.
